Delivered to the RCAF in 1954 (3685), this Otter spent more time stored or undergoing repair than flying for it's first 50 years. Withdrawn after an accident in 1970, it was rebuilt as CF-QOQ and sold to Labelle Touristair in 1971. After the first civil accident, the aircraft did not take to the air again until sold to Air North (1979 - 1983). After an accident at Glacier Lake in the Yukon, it moved back and forth across Canada slowly being re-built before emerging as a Texas Turbine Otter in 2006. The aircraft is current with Takeena Air Taxi (N565TA) at the time of uploading. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
