Accepted by the Luftwaffe Oct.1942 but abandoned to the advancing allied forces the next month. Allocated RN228 by No.1426 Enemy Aircraft Flight Feb.1944. Displayed at various venues post-war and shown above as Yellow 14 in the desert colours of JG53. Registered to the IWM as G-USTV 26 Oct.1990. Rebuilt to flying standard with first post-restoration flight 17 March 1991. On 12 Oct.1997 on what was its last planned flight before handing over to the RAF Museum, it was substantially damaged in a landing accident at Duxford. Since rebuilt to static display standard and now at RAF Museum, Cosford.
