The Viscount was the world's first turboprop airliner, the first production aircraft flew in 1953 and a total of 444 frames were produced. This example was one of the last Viscounts built at Brooklands and was delivered to BEA in June 1958. It also subsequently served with various carriers until 1990 when it was offered to the Brooklands Museum for preservation by British Air Ferries. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
