Nose damaged after Shorts SD3-30 G-BHWT collided with it a few weeks earlier. This caused it to be written off and it was offered for preservation. Delivered to BEA in 1958. To Cambrian Airways in 1971. Merged into British Airways in 1974. To British Air Ferries in 1984. Preserved at Brooklands from 1990.

First delivered to BEA in June 1958, this Viscount saw its career cut short when it was damaged beyond repair when Shorts 330 G-BHWT collided into it at Southend, UK on 11 Jan 1988. It was stored there as a spares source for other Viscounts, but eventually trucked to the museum on 11 Feb 1990.

"Viscount Stephen Piercey" is preserved at Brooklands and has a pictorial display on the Viscount inside.

The Viscount was the world's first turboprop airliner, the first production aircraft flew in 1953 and a total of 444 frames were produced. This example was one of the last Viscounts built at Brooklands and was delivered to BEA in June 1958. It also subsequently served with various carriers until 1990 when it was offered to the Brooklands Museum for preservation by British Air Ferries.
