XB-1A 40125 had a semi-monocoque veneer fuselage and was built at the McCook Field Engineering Division in July 1919, shown here with the project number 90 on its tail; 40 more were produced for the U.S. Army by Dayton-Wright in 1920. Scanned from an original reproduced photograph from my collection, date and photographer unknown. This photo was added on 28 July 2023, and has since been viewed 370 times. |
