Making an evening arrival at Nanaimo and just about to negotiate the harbour entrance to reach the sheltered seaplane docks. Delivered new to the US Army in 1956 as 55-3261. Its military service, until 1976, included duty as a test support aircraft at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. After years of bush operations in Quebec, moved to the Pacific coast in 2001 to join Harbour Air where it received a Vazar conversion to PT6 turbine power. This photo is copyright © David A.
