The last attempted flight for this 1966 Cessna 172G was on November 19, 2018. Beginning the take-off roll on a training flight, a low wing Sonex homebuilt landed on top of the Cessna at uncontrolled Corona Municipal Airport . Neither aircraft heard the other's reports on the common traffic advisory frequency (CTAF). There were no injuries but N4240L was pulled from service and the registration cancelled August 9, 2019.
