Registered VH-UIE for a few months before adopting the Papua New Guinea registration P2-UIE. May have spent all this time at the Catholic Divine Word Mission's Wirui airstrip which closed in 1976. UIE remained with the Mission until 1983. Later shipped to Germany where it was rebuilt as D-EBTF (later D-ENTE). Afrika Kreis written on the fuselage relates to its previous work with the church in was then the Belgian Congo. This photo was added on 22 April 2024, and has since been viewed 780 times. |
