Registered VH-UIE for a few months before adopting the Papua New Guinea registration P2-UIE. May have spent all this time at the Catholic Divine Word Mission's Wirui airstrip which closed in 1976. UIE remained with the Mission until 1983. Later shipped to Germany where it was rebuilt as D-EBTF (later D-ENTE). Afrika Kreis written on the fuselage relates to its previous work with the church in was then the Belgian Congo.

Few photos exist of the only piston-engine Porter to grace the Australia register. It was based in Papua New Guinea and became P2-UIE when that country adopted its own register in May 1984. It was used in support of the Catholic Divine Word Mission missionaries.
