K25 slide scan. Back in the 1980's winters could be severe. Under the watchful eyes of the Pan Am station representative two deicing vehicles struggle to clear Clipper Kreuzberg for its Tegel schedule, note slats and flaps fully extented for deicing and anticing process. Holdover time certainly would not exceed 15 minutes if at all. The crew of the SAR Huey could be sure they would not be scrambled during such weather conditions.
