Delivered to the USAAF in 1943 and first served in Algeria with the 11th TCS, later in 1943 transferred to Sicily and involved in several high profile drop missions. Moved to various bases on Italian mainland in 1944. By May 1945 it was the other side of the Atlantic based in Trinidad, then Belem in Brazil. Up for disposal in February 1946 and sold in 1947 as NC53426 and to SAM Colombia in 1948 as C-75, then C-505 & HK-505.
