Delivered to the USAAF in 1943 and first served in Algeria with the 11th TCS, later in 1943 transferred to Sicily and involved in several high profile drop missions. Moved to various bases on Italian mainland in 1944. By May 1945 it was the other side of the Atlantic based in Trinidad, then Belem in Brazil. Up for disposal in February 1946 and sold in 1947 as NC53426 and to SAM Colombia in 1948 as C-75, then C-505 & HK-505. After 1951 registered N3938C, N66W, N5V, N5144, N514X (wheels up landing 1971), N53ST and to Commemorative Air Force - Arizona Wing as N147AZ in 2016

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-23518 in 1943. To NC53426 in 1947, C-75, C-505, HK-505, N3938C in 1951, N66W then N5V in 1952, N5144 in 1967, N514X in 1968 and N53ST in 1980. To the Commemorative Air Force as N147AZ in 2016.

Ex USAAF 42-23518. Was reregistered to N147AZ and repainted as "223518/30-F" in 2015.

Former USAAF 42-23518. Previously registered N53ST, this aircraft became N147AZ on 28 May 2015 and received a new paint job as "223518 / 30-F" that same year. It's seen here receiving some TLC in the CAF hangar, no doubt in preparation for its next pleasure flight.
