Delivered to Western Airlines on March 9, 1977, this 727 would be absorbed into Delta Airlines' fleet during their merger in 1987. Sold to Federal Express (N234FE) in March 1996 and converted to a freighter, the aircraft would be leased to Morningstar Express (C-FMEY) during June 2005 and February 2011 operating for Federal Express in Canada. Returned February 11, 2011, the freighter was flown to Atlantic City and preserved at the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center.
