Built 1959. New aircraft, registered 15 April 1959 to Irish Air Charters, to whom it was delivered 27 April 1959. Cancelled -7 September 1959 when sold in the UK as G-APWR and registered as such 16 September 1959. On -7 July 1991, it took off from Goodwood with two occupants, on a banner-towing flight along the South Coast and round the Isle of Wight. As it approached Ventnor, IoW, the engine lost power for no apparent reason and the aircraft ditched in the sea. The occupants were rescued by a nearby trawler. The aircraft sank and could not be recovered. Cancelled by the CAA 21 October 1991. This photo is copyright © Mike Cain, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
