A famous Wal. Ex N-25 of Roald Amundsen - c/n incorrectly listed as 25 in British register. Used by Frank Courtney for transatlantic attempt, fitted with Napier Lion engines. Attempt aborted. To D-1422, fitted with BMW engines. Successful Atlantic crossing with Wolfgang von Gronau in 1930. Preserved in Münich museum. Heavily damaged by Allied bombing in 1944.
