Javelins of No 23 Sqn at RAF Coltishall. For a dedicated air defence fighter, the Javelin saw quite a bit of overseas service. XH778, in the foreground, was written off at Nicosia in Cyprus in 1963. Upgraded to FAW.9 standard, XH779 was shipped to Singapore in November 1964, becoming aircraft S of No 60 Sqn at Tengah. Withdrawn from active service in November 1966. Scrapped.
