Just outside Nant Peris along the the A4086 to Llanberis, the rescue services have prepared a helicopter landing site that is large enough to accommodate several helicopters. We came across a rescue operation involving a Coastguard Rescue S-92 and a Wales Air Ambulance Airbus H-145. They spent around half an hour on the ground before departing.
