Just outside Nant Peris along the the A4086 to Llanberis, the rescue services have prepared a helicopter landing site that is large enough to accommodate several helicopters. We came across a rescue operation involving a Coastguard Rescue S-92 and a Wales Air Ambulance Airbus H-145. They spent around half an hour on the ground before departing.

Three of us drove around in Wales, and as we drove down the Nant Peris Valley we saw two Helicopters in the air, and as we arrived at Nant Peris both of them were on the ground with engines on, and we were able to photograph them. They waved at us as they lifted again after 30 minutes...
