This Vulcan was delivered to the RAF in March 1963 and, after retirement, ferried to the Strategic Air Command Museum at Offut AFB in Omaha in June 1982. In 1997, XM573 was moved thirty miles down the road to be ready for the opening of the brand new Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum at Ashland.
