AW245 was one of the first Mark IIs to serve with the RAF when delivered to 217 Squadron in November 1941. It took part in the attack on German warships Prinz Eugen, Scharnhorst and Gneisnau (Operation Fuller) in the English Channel, February 12, 1942. Three crew members injured, AW245.
