G-AGRE was built as a Tudor I. It was rebuilt as a Tudor IVB with a longer fuselage and delivered to British South American Airways as "Star Ariel". G-AGRE vanished without trace on January 17, 1949 over the western Atlantic between Bermuda and Kingston, Jamaica. It is one of the accidents cited as evidence of the existence of the Bermuda Triangle. Photo from: Imperial War Museums This photo was added on 29 November 2024, and has since been viewed 163 times. |
