G-AGRE was built as a Tudor I. It was rebuilt as a Tudor IVB with a longer fuselage and delivered to British South American Airways as "Star Ariel". G-AGRE vanished without trace on January 17, 1949 over the western Atlantic between Bermuda and Kingston, Jamaica. Originally built for British South American Airways and first flown in January 1950 but not delivered and transferred to the Ministry of Civil Aviation the following month. Stored for several years at Ringway before being bought by Aviation Traders and converted, with a stretched fuselage and large rear cargo door, to a Super Trader 4B . Operated by Air Charter from 1955, mainly on Ministry of Defence contracts, before being withdrawn in 1959 and scrapped at Stansted. The fuselage survived at the fire school until 1963.

Built as a Tudor 4B in 1946 and originally operated by British South American Airways. Converted to Super Trader 4B by Aviation Traders in 1954 and operated by Air Charter from 1954 until scrapped in 1959.

The Tudor 8 was a conversion from Tudor 4 G-AGST and was fitted with four Rolls-Royce Nene 4 turbojets, first flying thus on 6 September 1948. It was demonstrated at that year's Farnborough Air Show. This one-off type was fitted with a tailwheel undercrriage, and was developed into the tri u/c Avro 706 Ashton. VX195 was broken up in 1951. From Avros 60 years ago.

After storage in Ringway's southside Hangar 522, this was one of four Tudors bought by Freddie Laker's Air Charter company and converted to Super Trader status with large rear freight doors. G-AHNO was named "Conqueror" and is visiting Ringway on a cargo flight.

The prototype Tudor was assembled and tested at Ringway in 1945/46. It is seen preparing for another flight in Spring 1946 with several Barracuda Vs on Faireys apron (right). Became VX192 and withdrawn at Woodford in March 1949. Image taken, with permission, from private cine film.

BSAA's "Star Olivia" was completed in late 1947 and was exhibited at the April 1949 Woodford Air Show before storage. Sold to Aviation Traders Ltd and converted to Super Trader 4B for Air Charter Ltd. Scrapped at Southend in 1959.
