slide by Holger Wulff. - An early Fokker 27, which started its life with Aer Lingus in 1959 and which was lost during an emergency landing in Burkina Faso in 1991. In this 1983 slide scan, the aircraft was operated by the Palestinian Liberation Organization PLO and had just been impounded at Athens for illegally using the registration from New Zealand. The PLO solved the problem, a Tunisian reg (TS-LVC) and later one of the Yemen Air Force (YAF202) were used. This photo was added on 7 December 2024, and has since been viewed 129 times. |
