In 1986, CP Air was bringing back their original Canadian Pacific name. One DC-10 and several 737s were painted in a new color scheme and several aircraft got new titles like this DC-10. The resurrection was short lived as owner Canadian Pacific Ltd was balking at a billion dollar bill to re-fleet the airline. Pacific Western Airlines, suddenly cash rich after selling and leasing back much of their 737 fleet made a timely offer to buy the larger airline. The result would be Canadian Airline International in 1987. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
