Built in 1945, SOC at Woodvale in July 1954 and displayed at Hucknall until August 1957 when moved for display at RAF Andover. Allocated maintenance serial 7758M and moved to Benson in 1962. The aircraft then had mixed fortunes for many years being used as a parts source in the Battle of Britain film, as a traveling exhibit with 71MU at Bicester, as a gate guard at Benson and several years in storage with the RAF Museum at various locations. Restored at Cosford in 2010 and loaned for display in Kuwait in 2013, returning to Cosford in 2019. This photo was added on 13 January 2025, and has since been viewed 107 times. |
