Built in 1945, SOC at Woodvale in July 1954 and displayed at Hucknall until August 1957 when moved for display at RAF Andover. Allocated maintenance serial 7758M and moved to Benson in 1962. The aircraft then had mixed fortunes for many years being used as a parts source in the Battle of Britain film, as a traveling exhibit with 71MU at Bicester, as a gate guard at Benson and several years in storage with the RAF Museum at various locations. Restored at Cosford in 2010 and loaned for display in Kuwait in 2013, returning to Cosford in 2019.

The Witch was the one and only prototype of a bomber built to specification 23/25. None of the contenders were selected for production. The Witch found use testing parachutes until 1931. Built May 1945, delivered to RAF 18 July 1945. Last flew 1952 when it was damaged during take-off at RAF Middle Wallop. Thereafter used as instructional airframe 6946M, gate guardian (at RAF Andover as such 1963/67) and showpiece at events such as the Royal Tournament and Edinburgh Military Tattoo. To St.Athan April 1968 for restoration and subsequently presented in 1972 to the City of Stoke-on-Trent in memory of Reginald Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire. Later restored by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society Feb.2018 - June 2021 and returned to the Stoke Potteries Museum.
