To American Airlines as N1978 10 Feb 1965 and serving with AA until withdrawn from use in 1993. After some time in storage at Tucson and some unsuccessful attempts to sell the aircraft, she went to South Africa as ZS-IJE in 1996 operating for Phoenix Airways, Interair, and Million Air Charter. Seen here at Johannesburg International with a discrete Million Air sticker below the cockpit window six months prior to being written off en route from Harare to Johannesburg in a hail storm 22 April 1999.
