This Hustler was built by Consolidated at Fort Worth in February 1962 and delivered to the 305th Bombardment Wing, Bunker Hill (later Grissom) where it was given the famous moniker 'Greased Lightning'. It set numerous records including flying 8,028 miles from Tokyo to London in 8 h 35 min 20.4 sec at an average of 938 mph.
