On display at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. This tandem trainer with "Ōyodo" painted on the fuselage was first flown on 11 Feb 1954 and is one of two built. It was a competitor to the Beech Model 45 Mentor as a primary trainer for the JASDF, though it was not selected. The aircraft was powered by a 260 hp Lycoming GO-435-C2B engine driving a two-bladed Hartzell propeller.

Only extant Ki-61-II Kai on display at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. This aircraft was formerly on display in the Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots at Chiran, Kyushu. Previously painted to represent a Hien (Flying Swallow) from the famous 244th Hiko-Sentai led by Maj. Teruhiko Kobayashi based at Chōfu airfield that downed B-29s, it is now in bare metal finish. The engine attachment bolt holes, supercharger air intake, landing light, oil cooler and radiator can be seen. Transfer of the Hien to Kakamigahara has significance as the sleek fighter was mass produced here during the war.

On display at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. The T-2 was influenced by the design of the SEPECAT Jaguar, as can be seen from this rear view. It was also powered by two Adour turbofans, licence built by Ishikawajima-Harima as the TF40-IHI-801A. Unlike the Jaguar, the T-2 had single wheels. This is the experimental Control Configuration Vehicle (CCV) that has three canards.

On display at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. Following the seven-year ban on aircraft production in Japan after World War II, the KAL-1 was the first aircraft to be manufactured at Kakamigahara. It featured a retractable landing gear. On display at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. Japan's National Aerospace Laboratory converted a C-1 for STOL tests and to reduce the noise footprint. Four newly-built FJR710/600S turbofans were mounted on top and ahead of the wings to generate lift using the Coandă effect by upper surface blowing (USB) through vortex generators onto the flaps. The sole Asuka or 'flying bird' was retired in March 1989 after 97 flights and 167 flight hours, achieving 509m for takeoff and 449m for landing.
