Painted as Ecuador AF Twin Beech 465, this was originally Chile Air Force 490 (and N9132Z and USAF 52-10565 before that). This may explain the double flag on the tail.

Douglas B-23 Dragon, ex HC-APV, in full civil Ecuatoriana paint job with incorrect identification TH-344. This is also carried by a Beech T-34A Mentor at the same museum, so it was probably a painting error. By 2014 this B-23 had been correctly repainted as HC-APV. Some of these old bombers have been used for cargo missions in remote sections of the Andes.

In addition to their military FAE serial, all militairy C-47s in Ecuador also carried a civil HC-AUx registration. However, this one seems to have lost its military serial, and the civil reg looks more like H6-AUT. Now preserved at the airforce museum at the old airport in Quito.
