Registered as G-BTZJ prior to delivery to Merpati as PK-MTY in 1992. Returned to BAe Systems as G-BTZJ in 1999 then to SATA Air Acores as CS-TGY in 2000. Stored at Southend in 2010 and scrapped in 2016.

Another -200 Series 737 ending up in Papua hauling cargo after a previous long life flying with different airlines around the world. Built in 1970, it started off with Lufthansa as D-ABDE, then as N303XV and N800WA in the US, before joining the Air Fast Indonesia fleet as PK-OCI in February of 1993. With Cardig Air as PK-CDA from 2006, bought by Jayawijaya in 2013. Withdrawn from use by now. Registration and aircraft name now assigned to B737-300 c/n 23499 / 1242.

Indonesia's Air Force TNI-AU was the 1st export customer of the Korean built KT-1 and received 17 units. A few have been lost unfortunately, including the one pictured here on December 7, 2020 during approach to Adisutjipto Air Base in Yogjakarta (where the fleet is based). Apparently, Indonesia ordered three more KT-1's in 2018. The first a/c, delivered as from 2006, wore a light grey paint, but soon afterwards the TNI-AU started to apply this red/white livery with big black registration letters. All TNI-AU KT-1's are now assigned to the Jupiter Aerobatic Team.

For a few years starting around 2008, Wamena airport became the "Eldorado" for BAE-146 cargo airplanes. That was after the Trigana and Merpati F-27's were phased out and before the Boeing 737's were allowed to land in this remote airport. PK-VTA is a 1984 built airframe and flew in Indonesia as from September 4, 2009. It had previously been registered in the UK as G-5-01, G-DEBN and G-MABR, in the US as N461AP, N568BA and N146AP, in Mexico as XA-RST and in Spain as EC-971 and EC-GEP. Left the Manunggal fleet in early 2014 to become RP-C8538 with Sky Jet Airlines in the Philippines.

In high demand of transport capacity, Indonesia took over nine of the twelve ex-RAAF surplus C-130H's (of which the first four were donated). They carry TNI-AU serials A-1330 through A-1338, and while most TNI-AU Herk's have a camouflage livery, A-1330 through A-1335 actually got this overall grey paint scheme during refurbishment in Australia (prior delivery to Indonesia). All have now been repainted to the camo style so I was lucky to catch this one while it was still grey. It is assigned to the 3rd (new) C-130 Skadron Udara 33 at Makassar, along with A-1315, A-1323, A-1330 and A-1338.

Indonesia's IPTN-Nurtanio aircraft facility in Bandung is mainly known for co-producing fixed-wing aircraft with Spain's CASA, such as the C212 Aviocar, the CN235 and the C295. However, it also built under licence different MBB, Bell and Aérospatiale helicopters for the local civilian and military market. Some 26 Super Pumas, of which at least 12 went to the Indonesian AF, were built locally since the mid 1980's. The one pictured here is assigned to VIP Sqn 45 based at Halim, and has since been repainted in an attractive white/red paint scheme (representing the national colors of Indonesia).

Built in March 2005 and registered 5B-CKS, but not taken up by it's owner in Cyprus. So it became HB-FMQ in June 2005, just to be sold to the US as N327SC. Purchased by Adventist Aviation Indonesia in November 2015. Still based in Papua province at time of upload.

ex HB-FQO, then briefly VH-ZKM but always with Yajasi since being built in 2007. Only two PC-12 are used by christian Mission Aviation Services, one of them being PK-UCG based in Sentani-Jayapura, Papua. The other PC-12 (c/n 243 and registered 5Y-MAF) is operated by Mission Aviation Fellowship and based in Nairobi-Wilson, Kenya.

Built in 2008, this Pilatus Porter carried registration HB-FNG before being delivered to Yeti Airlines in Nepal as 9N-AIU in May of 2009. Already in September that year, it went on to Tara Air (still in Nepal with same reg). Yajasi Indonesia then bought it in July 2012 to replace the ill-fated PK-UCE and operated it in the original Yeti Airlines colors as can be seen in this 2014 picture. Has since been repainted to Yajasi's blue / white color scheme.

Delivered to the USAAF as 43-15157 in 1944. To the RAAF as DT-975/VHRCQ in 1945, PK-RCG in 1947, PK-GDF in 1956 and PK-OAZ in 1970. To Airfast in 1971. Stored at Jakarta-Halim from 1999. Preserved at Jakarta-CGK in Garuda colours from 2010.

Delivered to the Indonesia Air Force as T-1645 in 1965. Later A-1645. Preserved at the museum by 1993.

Ex Mandala PK-RIH, registered 5th May 2009 and withdrawn from use WIII (Jakarta) March 2012. Parted out Nov 2015 and all parts moved to Wuhan, China. Rebuilt as a restaurant in the city Feb 2016

Ex Air Manilla RP-C7702, returned to lessor (GECAS) as N232AP 17th Feb 2009 and registered as PK-YVK 25th March 2009. Batavia went out of business 31st Jan 2013 and the aicraft was parked up.

This particular airframe first flew on August 7, 1997 and was delivered to Garuda Indonesia on December 26, 1997. It served with that airline till it was scrapped in March 2013, after a ground collision with A320 N620SC at Jakarta International during maintenance work a few days earlier, causing a damage beyond economical repair (BER).

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-100569 in 1943. To NC81394, NC74597, VT-CIF then AP-AAE in 1947, N1501V in 1951 and PK-SVE in 1952. To National Air Charter in 1974. Reregistered as PK-WWJ in 1985. Can't find any info about it after this photo was taken. It was probably scrapped.
