The first photo to surface to show, even partially, the Department of Civil Aviation's C-47 VH-ABC. It was discovered in a New Zealand public collection. VH-ABC was registered in August 1949 and reregistered VH-CAQ in September 1950. It crashed at Camden, NSW on March 27, 1951. Photos of it as VH-CAQ before and after the accident do exist.
