Built for American Airlines and taken over the USAAF as a C-50. Cargo doors fitted on the right side where American AL DC-3s had their passenger doors . Sold to Australian National Airways postwar as VH-ANI and fitted with Wright R-1820 engines in place of Pratt and Whitney R-1830s. Sold in New Zealand in 1955. Pratt and Whitney R-1830s refitted.
