During TLP-1 2019

Flying a mission during the Tactical Leadership Programme (2019-1) is often complex, especially when you have to encounter one of the most powerful jets in the world, like the F-15E that is seen taking off in the background. The Rafale M though, is an extremely well capable jet fighter, so the Strike Eagle will have a tough job too in fighting the Rafale.

The Tactical Leadership Programme is undoubtedly an international exercise, in the distance right a US Air Force F-15E that just landed, on the left an French Air Force Rafale and the star of the picture is a Belgian Air Force F-16AM of 2 Wing returning to its parking spot.

Some Hellenic Air Force F-16s are painted in a striking (radar beam absorbing) paint scheme. The Block 52-CF is one of them, seen arriving at Albacete after a Tactical Leadership Programme (2019-1) sortie.

Twin tail action, an F-15E Strike Eagle of the 48th Fighter Wing, originating from RAF Lakenheath (UK), during its slow ride to the runway, while a Spanish EF-18M Hornet of Ala 15, originating from Zaragoza (Spain), is seen in its speedy take-off from Albacete air base during the Tactical Leadership Programme 2019-1.

In February 2019, this was the newest Rafale M in the Aéronautique Navale (French Naval Aviation) inventory. Nr. 46 participated unmarked in the Tactical Leadership Programma at Albacete but was assigned to Flotille 11 (11F) based at Landivisiau.

This Dassault product in Spanish military service is a rarely seen Electronic Countermeasures aircraft of Grupo Mixto 47, Escuadron 472 from Torrejón. This bird was used during the Tactical Leadership Programme 2019-1 as a 'Red Air' asset. Flown by a two-man crew, the Falcon 20E is used for passive jamming only, making life difficult for the student pilots in their airborne communications.

During the NATO exercise Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) at Albacete, students learn a wide array of things. Among others, how to intercept a slow mover in a mission scenario. This C-27J was deployed to Albacete to act as that slow mover. It is seen hear during an enthusiastic landing.
