Mainliner Chicago was with United Airlines 1952 - 66 as a Convair 340 registered N73118. Sold to Lake Central Airlines, it was converted to a 580 When Lake Central merged with Allegheny Airlines in 1968, it was re-registered N5840. Sold to Great Lakes Airlines as C-GDTD in 1976 and rebranded Air Ontario in 1981. The aircraft was sold in 1987 as OO-VGH, operated by European Air Transport for DHL cargo services. Retired in 1991, it was scrapped at Brussels by 1994.

This 1976 YF-18A is the 6th McDonnell Douglas built single seat prototype and was delivered to the US Navy on 31 Jan'80 with code 6 to the Naval Air Test Center, NAS Patuxent River (MD). It served the NATC up to 22 Oct'84 when it was transferred to NASA. Initially it carried its BuNo and "NASA 840", in 1985 it received registration N840NA. The Hornet was used from 1987-1996 as a High Alpha Research Vehicle with thrust-vectoring vanes, research flight control system and forward fuselage strakes. Since 2003 it is preserved at the Virginia Air & Space, Hampton (VA). Here pictured at Dryden FRC.

Delivered new to Etihad as A6-DDA 21st June 2011 and became N840FD with FedEx 12th Jan 2021

Fleet no.840 arriving two hours late on flight AC806, and operated by a 787-9, subbing for the usual 787-8.

Delivered to Continental Airlines as N14840 in 1987. Withdrawn from use at Goodyear, AZ in 2004 and scrapped in 2006.

Delivered new 13th Feb 2006 and merged into American Airlines Dec 2013

Originally flew with Westjet and now with Swoop since November 2018.

Delivered new 20th Aug 1970 and transferred to PanAm 15th June 1989
