before being converted to a freighter this 757 spent many years transporting passengers for carriers like LTU, Electra Airways, Air Scotland, Primaris, Santa Barbara Airlines, Saudia and Eagle Aviation - still active with FedEx in 2024

After a steady career with LTU International Airways (D-AMUZ 1989 - 2002), this 757 was owned by several leasing companies and operated by a long list of airlines. Registrations were SX-BVN, N497GX, N740PA and F-GTIQ when passenger duties ended in 2009. The aircraft was registered N497EA when converted to a freighter with FedEx Express adding the aircraft to it's fleet June 15, 2010 as N944FD.

Delivered new 12th Aug 1989 and retired KSBD (San Bernardino) 2nd Nov 2018, scrapped

Delivered new to Eastern Feb 68. Later with Northwest Airlines and then Delta Air Lines (still as N8944E). Retired Jan 2010.
