Todays puzzle was this Fly540, I saw at Zanzibar in 2011 of which I was unable to read the registration. Fly 540 had 3 CRJs in late 2011, 2 Kenian and one Ugandese registered. This one has the flag of Kenya next to the main entry door. Studying photos of 5Y-BXC and 5Y-BXD, I noticed the main title on the fuselage slightly different. On BXC part of the 'Y' of Fly540 sits on the emergency exit, where on BXD the 'Ý' clearly stops before the emergency exit. Making this 5Y-BXC.

A trip to Tanzania, to fly the Indigo Aviation DC-3. But they never really started operating their two DC-3s between Zanzibar and the mainland. I was only able to make some distant photos of the two aircraft. This one was taken from a Cessna 208 taking off from Zanzibar en route to Dar es Salaam. The airplane was not visible from the terminal, but was parked infront of a hangar along the main runway of the airport.

Seen here on a service from Mombasa to exotic Zanzibar, this F50 was delivered to KQ in 1990 and went to Air Nostrum in 1998. Interestingly found its way back to Kenya in 2003 with Blue Bird Aviation as 5Y-VVH in a superb green/yellow c/s but unfortunately without titles

My lift back to DAR. No stranger to islands as first owner was Mahalo Air in Hawaii; to Tanzania 5.96, later repainted in an overall green/orange livery and moved on to Tropical Air in 12.12
