The aircraft was initially serialled as BH-QQ, later as 4D-AM. Stationed at Banak (Finnmark) in 1942 with the main task of bombing the Allied convoys between Great Britain and Murmansk. After attacking the two Soviet navy vessels 'Kiev' and ' Occident', it ran out of fuel during the flight back. The crew bailed near Hammerfest and the aircraft crashed on the Gardevarre mountain. The aircraft was recovered in 1988 and placed on display in about the same way it was found.
