Part of the Fleet Air Arm Historic Flight, VH-NVY was trucked to Schofields for the air show. An attempt by a member of the team with no flying training to air taxi the Scout to a new location on November 10 resulted in substantial damage. -NVY was cancelled from the register. The MSN used here is from production and UK military serial lists. When registered in 1994 the MSN entered for -NVY was F9490, which is British Army Scout XP889. It was written off in a crash in February 1965.
