Arriving as "CLUE 95" this AT-38B sits on the March T-line awaiting it's crew

Representing a B-17 that saw intensive action in the last years of WW2, both in bombing and later POW liberation missions. It operated with the 561st Bomb Squadron (T), 388th Bomb Group (H) from RAF Knettishall in England. The actual aircraft here, B-17G 44-83512, was always based in North America, in the US and Newfoundland, and ended up as a ground instructional airframe at Lackland AFB. True identity in small print on the bottom of the tail, as is often the case with historic displays.

A T-38 of the 586th Flight Test Squadron, 704th Test Group based at Holloman AFB. It wears a tribute color scheme to the 586th Bomb Squadron which flew Martin B-26 Marauders during WWII.

Heaven's Above is one of 31 aircraft on display all around the Lackland parade field. It is now falsely painted as 42-97328, while it is in fact ex 44-83512.

One of no less than 16 Wessex present from 845 Naval Air Squadron based on HMS Hermes in a typically strong show of support for the Air Fair by the Fleet Air Arm. To GI as A2744 October 1986, re-allocated as A2668 (2) May 1993. Components still present at HMS Sultan, Gosport in April 2004.
