In May, 1971 the airline merged with Toa Airways to form Toa Domestic Airlines and in April, 1988 the airline renamed itself as Japan Air System. The plane was delivered to KFS Aivation as P4-KFL and then on to Air Philippines as RP-C1983 in October 1986 but is presumed subsequently to have been scrapped.

It then flew with Omni Air from October 2006 as N522AX but was retired to Goodyear (GYR) in February 2012, and then moved to Oscoda (OSC) in January 2014. Fortunately, it was rescued from the scrapman by conversion to Super Tanker and is currently still active with 10 Tanker Air Carrier.

This MD-87 was originally delivered to JAS in June 1988 and is pictured pushing back from the 'old' Haneda terminal. Note also the Japan Self Defence Force Skyvan in background, which, unfortunately, did not come with range of my camera. The MD-87 went on to fly with Japan Airlines (mainline and domestic) before joining One-Two-Go as HS-OMI in July 2007. After the grounding of this airline it was parked at Don Muang (DMK) and scrapped in September 2013, although some parts (fuselage?) seem to have been salvaged for use by the Royal Thai Army for training.

This MD-87 was originally delivered to JAS in June 1988 and is pictured pushing back from the 'old' Haneda terminal. Note also the Japan Self Defence Force Skyvan in background, which, unfortunately, did not come with range of my camera.
