Recently flown across from its Bradley Field base, this Hun awaits processing on the arrivals ramp at DM, having served with the Connecticut ANG's 118th TFS. One of 1,274 built, it was based at Wethersfield, UK in the late 1950's while assigned to the 20th TFW. Ironically, there is also a village called Wethersfield in Connecticut, not far from Bradley Field (Hartford)

This was the 133rd F-106 produced by Convair at San Diego in 1959 and flew with five different Fighter Interceptor Squadrons before reaching the 194th FIS at Fresno in 1974. Ten years later it went in storage at DM AFB but emerged in 1991 for conversion to a QF-106 drone, becoming Tyndall-based. It returned to DM in 1998 but was selected for preservation in the Aerospace Museum at Hill AFB, UT, where it has undergone a superb restoration for display in the marks of its first unit, the 456th FIS (Castle)

This Texas ANG Stratofreighter was one of over 800 built and was accompanied on this occasion by five others on one of the last 'Creek Party' deployments. Entered the boneyard at DM in May 1977 after also serving the Pennsylvania ANG and was scrapped at Dross Metals after 1986. The commonality of the wing and engines to the preceding Superfortress design is evident here

As part of SAC Operation Power Flight, this B-52 became the first jet to circle the world non-stop (along with 53-0397 & 398) named 'Lucky Lady III', in a dramatic display of air power intended to strike fear into any potential enemy. On 16.1.57 they left Castle AFB, flying 24,325 miles and landing at March AFB 45hrs later, after four KC-97 refuellings. Joined 95 BW in 1959 when they re-equipped from B-36s and named 'City of El Paso'. B-52Bs were withdrawn in 1966; 394 was scrapped at WP AFB in 1984
