US Naval Flight training encompasses student aviators from the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. Although all the training a/c are assigned to the US Navy, some are marked as Marine a/c and some as USCG aircraft in order to recognize the other service branches.

This is an active aircraft and not part of the museum collection. It was on display outside the National Naval Aviation Museum in conjunction with a retirement ceremony. Naval Aviation training includes USN, USMC, and USCG students, and some of the training a/c are marked as USMC and USCG a/c, even though Training Air Wing 5 is a USN command.

This T-34 served previously with TW-5 at NAS Whiting Field, FL before being retired to AMARG during June 2012.
