Rolling off of the Douglas production line as 42-24000, this C-47 was transferred to the Royal Air Force as FD941 on July 19, 1943. Arriving in Great Britain it was used by BOAC (G-AGHO) from August 1943 - June 1949 when it was returned and sold to Northwest Airlines as N9993F. It came to Canada in May 1951 for the Royal Canadian Air Force (10910), before going civil again with Austin Airways as CF-AAM September 28, 1970. Central Mountain Air bought the aircraft in January 1989. Sadly, C-FAAM crashed on take off at Bronson Creek, BC January 14, 1993.

It came to Canada in May 1951 for the Royal Canadian Air Force (10910), before going civil again with Austin Airways as CF-AAM September 28, 1970. Central Mountain Air bought the aircraft in January 1989. Sadly, C-FAAM crashed on take off at Bronson Creek, BC January 14, 1993.
