Holding on runway 28 before lining up on runway 05. Note the prominent "Hispania" titles, as the aircraft was on wet-lease to that Spanish carrier. C-GMXQ was lost in a crash at Jeddah on 11 July 1991. It is believed that a tyre caught fire during takeoff and that, after the gear was retracted, the fire rapidly spread, causing hydraulic failure and loss of control. Tragically, all 261 people on board were killed.

This old Jumbo was chartered from Air France for about six months in 1992. It was eventually broken up at Oklahoma City in March 1994.

One of the many Eastern Airlines DC-8-61s that went to Japan Airlines in 1970. To Capitol International Airways before Nationair bought it in April 1984. Tragically, the stretch Eight was lost operating a hadj pilgrim flight between Nigeria and Jeddah for Nigerian Airways. A landing gear fire spread in the main wheel well and resulted in loss of control as the aircraft tried to return to King Abdulaziz International Airport.

This 1968 build DC-8 was formerly with Eastern Airlines, Japan Airlines and Capitol Air. Photographed wearing advertising for Nationair's then new Montreal - Brussels service, the aircraft was eventually broken up at Smyrna, TN in 1998.

Delivered new to Condor as D-ABYF in April 1971. Operated by Nationair from June 1992 until April 1993. Seen departing for Vancouver on NXA473.

Arriving from Toronto on service NX4160. The aircraft entered operation with Nationair on 2 June 1990 and does not yet have the airlines titles and retains the scheme of the bankrupt Odyssey International.
