This Hunter's career came to and end on 6 August 1998. A throttle restriction was encountered ten miles out from Boscombe Down. The pilot declared an emergency and returned to Boscombe Down. The aircraft failed to make contact with the runway and both crew ejected when it was 2,000 - 3,000ft along the runway. It crashed onto the airfield and caught fire, the crew being slightly injured.

To N19UK in 2011 and stored at Kemble. Moved to Humberside for use as a ground trainer in 2015.

Also in shot are USAF F-100D 56-3011 of the 20th FBW (based at Wethersfield), a Shackleton MR.2 of No, 204 Squadron (based at Ballykelly) and, in the distance, a couple of the based Vulcans. XP666 had an interesting career, being sold back to BAC in 1967 and successively serving with the South Yemen AF and then the Singapore AF before returning to the UK for civilian use as G-JETP. It was last reported dumped in fairly poor condition at Paphos in Cyprus.

Unmarked but this FGR4 was assigned to 3(F)sq during Anatolian Eagle 2022. The Typhoon made its first flight on 9 July 2015 and was delivered to the RAF on 18 February 2016. The pilot is here waving to the camera, with its hand as well as with the massive air brake.

On approach for Runway 12 at Prestwick, returning after a morning sortie as VENOM22. Carries on the port side beneath its cockpit the pennant of WG Cdr G. Montgomery, while the starboard side displays the commemorative marking "The MacRobert Fighter - Sir Roderic". Lady MacRobert lost two sons on active service with the RAF in WWII, one flying a Hurricane in the Middle East and the other in a Blenheim. She donated a Stirling and four Hurricanes to the war effort. The Stirling flew with XV Sqn as the defiant "MacRobert's Reply", a name continued on the unit's Tornados. After XV Sqn disbanded at RAF Lossiemouth in 2017, the based No 6 Sqn picked up the baton to keep the memory of the MacRobert contribution alive on one of their Typhoons.
