Parked without titles after the demise of Court Line in 1974. This photo appears to have been taken from the McAlpine Aviation offices on the western side of the apron. This aircraft spent most of its subsequent career with Cathay Pacific before being acquired by Aer Turas in 1997 as EI-CNN. It was leased to a company called TBG who in turn operated it for a variety of carriers which included Air Malta, Air Inter, Iberia, Virgin Express, Kampuchea Airlines and Britannia. It was stored in Abu Dhabi from 1999 and eventually broken up there in late 2006. (Photographer not known.)

This immaculate DC-7C freighter was unfortunately damaged beyond repair at Santo Domingo on 18 February 1993, when an engine failed on take-off. This was all the more unfortunate as the aircraft had been reactivated by T & G Aviation in 1989 after 22 years in use for technical instruction at the Alexandria Vocational School in Minnesota. Visiting NAS Jacksonville during a period when US President Gerald Ford and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat conducted talks at Deerwood Country Club and Epping Forest, then the estate of financier Raymond K. Mason, who headed The Charter Co., a conglomerate with extensive holdings in the Middle East. A crowd of 7,500 led by Mayor Hans Tanzler was on hand to greet President Ford when he, his wife, Betty Ford, and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger landed in Air Force One at Jacksonville Naval Air Station. Two USAF VC-137s/VC-135s can be seen behind the Egyptian 707. Photographer not known.

The aircraft had previously been operated by Invicta as G-AYFN and originally by Air Canada as CF-TKB. Both EAS and Invicta used an adaptation of the Air Canada livery, retaining the latter's red cheatline and fin.

Photographer not known. XP737 came to grief when, on 17 August 1979, the port landing-gear leg failed to extend when the aircraft was inbound to RAF Valley for the station's annual open day on 18 August. The pilot ejected over the sea and was quickly picked up by the local SAR helicopter, but the Lightning was consigned to the depths of the Irish Sea.

Photographer not known. Like many 1-11s, this example concluded its career with a Nigerian operator. In this case the company was Oriental Airines and the aircraft's registration was 5N-IMO. It was destroyed in a landing accident in poor visibility at Tamanrasset, Algeria on 18 September 1994, with five fatalities out of the 39 persons on board. The aircraft had been chartered to fly the Nigerian football team Iwuanwanyu from Tunis to Lagos after a match in the Africa Cup competition.
