From the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. It was a pleasant surprise to find this Trader on the airfield at the 1983 open day. Charmingly named Ike (on the rudder) and Mamie (on the engine) for the 34th President and First Lady.

Arrived at AMARG during May 86 from the USS Lexington (note the tail band) and is stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AN7C0023.

One of the last Traders to serve with the US Navy in Europe.

This ex-Navy Trader was retired to AMARG during May 79 where is it was stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AN7C0004. It migrated in Oct. 10 to the United Aeronautical Corporation scrap yard on the edge of DM.

This Trader was last staioned at NAS Cecil Field before retirement and becoming part of the very interesting Grissom Air Museum.

A very unusual Trader. This aircraft was built as a standard TF-1 (C-1A), but after leaving the production line in July 1956 it was converted as the aerodynamic prototype for the WF-2 (E-1B) Tracer AEW project. It was fitted with the dual fins of the Tracer and a large dummy aluminium dorsal radome. It first flew as such on 17 Dec 1956, still retaining its TF-1 type designation. The dummy radome was later removed, but the aircraft kept its twin fins and continued to serve as a utility transport aircraft, still designated as a standard TF-1 (redesignated to C-1A in Sep 1962). It was operated as a hack by NAS Cecil Field and a serpent-like Cecil appears on the rear engine cowling.

This C-1A served with VRC-40 at NAS Norfolk before retirement to AMARG during Nov. 1986 where she was stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AN7C0033. In Oct. 2010 she migrated across the fence to the United Aeronautical Corporation yard.
