This Skyhawk was possibly stored at the platform of NAS Fallon as it is reported in Navy documents as scrapped in October 1988 (a year before this photo was taken). The modex 13 was already wiped out and another 13 (BuNo 153488/NJ713) was also seen that day.

After VF-126 use, the aircraft was preserved as modex 50 at Miramar from November 1995. The aircraft was eventually returned to Fallon and preserved there as NF-401 in the air power park of Fallon from February 2006.

An Egypt-One coloured RF-4C returning to its parking spot at homebase Reno. The 192d Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, named "High Rollers" is part of the Nevada Air National Guard. The squadron replaced the RF-101 Voodoo with the RF-4C in 1975 and continued operating the Phantom II for twenty years. The High Rollers were the last RF-4Cs in operational service, and with their retirement it marked the end of the type within the USAF. In April 1996, the squadron transitioned to C-130E Hercules and the squadron was redesignated as 192d Airlift Squadron.
