Looking like a Photoshop trick, this Meteor was modified to research the advantages of flying in the prone position. This proved to be difficult, and the aircraft was never landed by the prone pilot.

Delivered to the Danish air force as a Meteor NF.11, H-512, in 1953. Converted to TT.20 and taken over by target towing company Svensk Flygtjanst as SE-DCF in 1962. The Republic of Biafra tried to buy this jet in the late 1960s.

In France as well as in Britain, the Meteor saw prolonged service as a test bed. Apparently Nos NF11-1 to 9 never served as night fighers but went straight to Centre d'Essais en Vol. RAF serial allocated to this one is WM303.
